As mortes incógnitas da pandemia
Para cada 10 pessoas que morreram por Covid-19 no Brasil, mais 8 entraram em outra estatística: a das mortes por Síndrome Respiratória Aguda Grave (Srag) sem causa determinada. Até a primeira semana de junho, foram 23 mil casos. Os sintomas são os mesmos da Covid-19. A faixa etária das vítimas também: 7 de cada 10 têm 60 anos ou mais. Os casos cresceram juntos, a partir da oitava semana do ano. Os dados fazem parte das fichas de pacientes enviadas pelos hospitais para o Ministério da Saúde. O sistema foi desenhado para monitorar a influenza, mas se revelou um indicador da subnotificação de mortes pelo coronavírus. Em Minas Gerais, para cada 10 mortes por Covid-19, há 45 mortes por SRAG indeterminada. O =igualdades desta semana aborda as mortes incógnitas da pandemia, que se parecem com a Covid-19, mas não entram na conta oficial.
